The Support Academy has been a playground for aspiring IT enthusiasts in Unit IT for the past three years. The Support Academy offers a structured pathway into the dynamic world of tech support. Led by IT Supporter, David Linder, the Academy has become synonymous with a commitment to cultivating raw talent into seasoned professionals. Over the years, Unit IT has refined their approach, ensuring that that each trainee not only gains knowledge but also practical experience that prepares them for the challenges of the field.
Jeppe Hein is one of the former academy graduates, and he is a prime example of the academy’s success story. After completing his sabbatical year, Jeppe found himself drawn to the realm of IT. His journey began with a basic course at his school, where the practical nature of the curriculum appealed to him. Unit IT’s visit to his school was a turning point for Jeppe Hein. The energy in the room, coupled with the enticing prospect of diverse tasks and responsibilities, solidified his decision to pursue a career in IT support.
“It was enticing to get hands-on experience right from the start at Unit IT. I knew I had to go through support to become a data technician, and the Support Academy seemed like the perfect launchpad. The people at the Support Academy not only encouraged me to continue as a data technician but also facilitated my transition into the cyber security domain,” Jeppe Hein reflects.
The Academy’s encouragement extended beyond the development of technical skills. Jeppe found himself exploring coding and became increasingly interested in cyber security. With the guidance of his colleagues Jeppe’s journey was marked by continuous growth and exploration. After finishing the Support Academy, he transitioned into the Cyber Security Department and thus continued his development within Unit IT. As Jeppe’s journey illustrates, the Support Academy is more than a training ground; it’s a launchpad for aspiring IT professionals. Through structured guidance, hands-on experience, and unwavering support, the Support Academy continues to shape the future of the tech industry, one trainee at a time.
