Bunker Holding has been a foundational part of the USTC Group’s journey, both historically and strategically. What began in 1981 as a small Danish bunkering business led by Torben Østergaard-Nielsen has grown into a global industry leader. In 1994, Bunker Holding was formally established to consolidate the Group’s bunker activities under one umbrella.
Since then, Bunker Holding has played a key role in USTC’s international expansion and remains the Group’s largest and most globally integrated business. From pioneering independent fuel trading in the 1980s to operating 62 offices worldwide today, Bunker Holding has not only shaped the market but helped shape USTC into the Group it is today.
Still owned by the Østergaard family, Bunker Holding continues to operate with the same long-term commitment, entrepreneurial spirit, and independence that define USTC as a whole.
