Maiken Sode Graversen, Project Manager

Maiken Sode Graversen plays a key role in shaping structure and processes at GRM. As Project Manager and part of the Executive Management Team, she leads cross-functional initiatives with a focus on commercial, strategic, and regulatory priorities.

Her path towards the role of Project Manager began in the Back Office Team, where she focused on improving systems and streamlining workflows to support the sales department and overall operations.

“I often ask people whether they are doing something because it is the best way or because it is how they have always done it,” Maiken says. “Once they experience a better solution, they are much more open to change.”

The mindset of challenging routines, recognising blind spots, and encouraging reflection has always been a part of her approach.

No place like home

Maiken’s connection to GRM goes further back. She has held several different roles in the company over the years, including Assistant Risk Manager, before spending a few years at another brokerage firm. A chance meeting with a former colleague led her back to GRM.

It was great to come back,” she says. “My knowledge of the products and systems meant that I could dive into the work fairly quickly, even though things had changed while I was gone.”

One of the biggest changes was the work culture. With new leadership and a more collaborative structure under the new GRM One initiative, Maiken found an environment that encouraged growth and responsibility.

“There is a strong sense of trust here. We support each other, whether we are in a formal setting or just discussing things across desks. Everyone brings something different to the team.”

That supportive environment helped her take the next step. Together with her manager, she created a development plan aligned with her ambitions, and she has since grown into her current leadership role.

“I feel fully supported. Being trusted to take responsibility, even when you do not have all the answers, really motivates me to take initiative,” she says.
