Lead growth and Unlock New Markets
As Head of Emerging Markets and Business Development, you will lead a team of skilled professionals across international markets. You will build strong relationships with new customers, partners, and suppliers, while fostering collaboration and performance across the organization. Your leadership will inspire open communication, knowledge sharing, and creative problem-solving—ensuring we stay ahead in a fast-moving industry.

Furthermore, your key responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute strategic plans to expand biomass trading operations and market presence.
• Grow biomass usage for e.g. the process industry, primarily for the European markets.
• Identify, negotiate and establish trading opportunities with suppliers, buyers and international partners.
• Set performance targets, conduct regular evaluations, and support professional development within the team.
• Close corporation with Head of Trading, collaborating to optimize the company's biomass portfolo.

Skilled and adaptable within biomass
The ideal candidate has a background in biomass trading, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and demonstrated experience leading a highly dynamic and fast-paced team within the renewable energy or commodities trading sectors.  Additionally, having a comprehensive understanding of biomass technologies, supply chains, and regulatory frameworks is essential. The position is based in our office in Copenhagen, and travel is required.

Preferably, you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering, or related fields; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Min. 2 years of experience in biomass trading, physical commodities trading, or energy markets.
• Leadership skills driving a highly dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced professional English skills in speech and in writing. Additional languages considered a plus.
• Strong understanding of biomass technologies, supply chains, and regulatory frameworks.
