Job Description
Are you driven by ownership, hybrid infrastructure, and improving how things actually run in production? Do you thrive in a role where technical leadership, operational responsibility, and close collaboration with both internal and external partners are key? Then we would very much like to hear from you.
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Tech Lead to join our Infrastructure & Platforms team in Middelfart. The role combines deep technical insight with professional accountability and a strong understanding of how infrastructure supports business continuity and development. You will be the go-to person for infrastructure topics and play a central role between architects, outsourcing partners, security, and internal stakeholders.
As Infrastructure Tech Lead, you take the overall technical responsibility for infrastructure across both cloud and non-cloud environments. While architects define the overall architectural direction, you act as the functional and technical lead, ensuring that solutions are realistically implemented, operated, and continuously improved in day-to-day practice.
Your responsibilities
You will have a central role in shaping, operating, and modernizing our hybrid infrastructure setup. You take responsibility for ensuring that infrastructure changes are well-considered, prioritized, and executed with stability, security, and business impact in mind.
Your role includes, among others:
- Acting as the technical and functional lead for infrastructure across cloud and on‑prem environments, and as a trusted escalation point for complex infrastructure topics.
- Owning infrastructure-related changes and working within an ITIL framework – pragmatically applied, not dogmatically followed.
- Performing and owning ongoing infrastructure risk assessments, for example related to firewall changes or other security‑critical adjustments, as part of normal operations.
- Prioritizing, qualifying, and driving technical initiatives in close dialogue with architects, outsourcing partners, and the business.
- Setting and maintaining technical direction within infrastructure domains such as databases, platform choices, and technology direction (e.g. Citrix vs. Microsoft‑based solutions) – without being the architect.
- Working hands-on with modernization of the infrastructure landscape, including process improvements, scripting, and automation where relevant.
- Acting as the primary technical counterpart to outsourcing partners and vendors, ensuring quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Improving infrastructure documentation and strengthening collaboration with external partners to ensure transparency, stability, and shared understanding.
- Ensuring that availability, security, disaster recovery, and operability are built into daily operations – not treated as side initiatives.
In practice, this is a role where others come to you for infrastructure expertise, guidance, and decision support. You balance technical depth with strong business understanding, enabling you to make sound trade-offs without needing to act as a full enterprise architect.
Your profile
You are a senior infrastructure professional with strong technical credibility and a clear sense of ownership. You understand how infrastructure choices affect business operations and are comfortable taking responsibility for both everyday decisions and long-term improvements.
We expect that you bring:
- Solid experience working with hybrid infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure operations, security, and change management.
- The ability to lead technically without formal people management – through expertise, clarity, and trust.
- Experience working with outsourcing partners and navigating shared operational responsibility.
- A pragmatic approach to frameworks and processes, focused on outcomes rather than formality.
- Clear and professional communication skills across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
As Infrastructure Tech Lead, you create stability and progress by combining technical leadership with business insight. You are comfortable standing firm on decisions when needed – and equally comfortable collaborating closely with others to get things done.
