Job Description

Integration Engineer Prague

Do you want to build scalable, reliable integrations that power data-driven decision-making across a global organization? Do you thrive in a modern, cloud-first engineering environment where collaboration, automation, and innovation are key? Then this could be the role for you.

About the role and team

As an Integration Engineer, you will become part of Unit IT, working in a consultancy-driven setup that delivers high-value services across the USTC Group.

Initially, you will join a dedicated team focused on building a Unified Data Platform for Bunker Holding Group. Here, you will play a key role in establishing modern integration capabilities that enable seamless, secure, and scalable data flows across systems and business domains.

You will collaborate closely with platform engineers, data engineers, architects, and stakeholders across the organization, contributing to a shared goal of building a strong, future-proof data foundation.

Your responsibilities

You will take an active role in designing, building, and operating integration capabilities within the Unified Data Platform.

In this role, you will work hands-on with integration engineering, ensuring that data flows efficiently and reliably across systems while supporting a modern, scalable platform setup. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to establish strong integration patterns and support a robust data foundation.

Examples of your tasks include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining integrations across business systems and the data platform
  • Building and supporting both batch and real-time streaming ingestion pipelines
  • Implementing event-driven integration patterns (e.g., Azure Service Bus, Kafka, APIs)
  • Supporting integration and orchestration across Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and cloud services
  • Developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation to ensure stability and scalability

You will also support observability and reliability across integrations, contribute to troubleshooting and incident handling, and help ensure that data governance, security, and quality requirements are met. Additionally, you will collaborate on establishing integration standards and reusable patterns, while continuously exploring modern, AI-supported approaches where relevant.

In practice, this is a role where you combine engineering, platform thinking, and automation to help build a modern enterprise integration landscape.

Your qualifications

We expect that you are a technically strong and collaborative engineer who enjoys solving complex integration challenges.

You likely bring experience within:

  • Modern integration and data engineering practices
  • Batch and streaming integrations
  • Event-driven architectures and messaging technologies (e.g., Azure Service Bus, Kafka)
  • API development and distributed systems
  • Cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Microsoft Fabric)
  • Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform)
  • CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Integration architecture, reliability, and observability

You work in a structured and quality-focused way, take ownership of your deliveries, and collaborate effectively across technical and business stakeholders.

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience with AI-assisted integration or modern automation patterns
  • Knowledge of real-time processing and event streaming architectures
  • Experience in hybrid integration environments
  • Familiarity with DevOps, DataOps, or platform engineering practices
  • Experience from enterprise-scale environments

You communicate fluently in English (required), and Danish is considered a strong advantage.

What you can expect

  • A central role in building a modern, enterprise-grade Unified Data Platform
  • High degree of ownership and influence on integration architecture and engineering practices
  • Close collaboration across Unit IT and the wider USTC Group
  • A modern, cloud-native engineering environment with strong focus on automation and scalability
  • Opportunity to work with emerging technologies within data, integration, and AI
  • A collaborative setup where internal and external colleagues work as one integrated team
