Risk Specialist for Bunker Holdings internal pricing desk – Copenhagen

To further develop our team in Denmark, we are now looking for a Risk Specialist, with experience from either derivatives, bunker trading or sourcing.

The role requires that you are physically located in our Copenhagen office or are willing to relocate.

About the role

You are expected to have a commercial mindset, driven by sales and possess some experience working with forward prices, have an interest in and understanding of hedging and hedging tools. Together with the rest of the team, you will contribute to shaping the future of the internal pricing desk and helping us realize our business potential.

The internal pricing desk has a vital role in the group’s strategy which gives this position an exciting international reach, offering you the opportunity for both personal and professional development. Our goal is in close cooperation with our purchase desk’s to support and position the sales traders to meet and facilitate an increasing demand for forward fixed prices and price risk management solutions for traditional bunker fuels and new green fuels businesses.


Play a key role in creating strong collaboration

It is important for us to create a close collaboration between the different units of our value chain (reselling, physical, sourcing, risk management etc.) and in that you will be a key factor. Your tasks will be to support our purchasers and sales traders in the use of derivatives in B2B trading and ensuring persistent data in our systems.


Your role

You will be the group’s market maker for forward fixed prices, finding and generating opportunities for both our purchasing desks and sales traders by bridging the gap between derivatives and physical bunkers.

Your other tasks include:

  • Managing the groups bunker forward fixed price exposure
  • Handling daily flow of formula pricing requests for sourcing/sales
  • Managing the booking systems for trade recording
  • Train sales traders in risk management sales towards end clients
  • Educate the purchasers with regards to derivatives
