Job Description
Are you an experienced trade flow analyst and curious to bring your skills into play in a commodity trading business? Join our Data & Analytics team as Senior Analyst.
As Senior Analyst, you will join our cross-functional Data & Analytics team covering the full trade flow. Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, you will help implement a more data-driven operating model through automation and advanced analytics.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver analytical and development initiatives that create tangible value. This is a key role supporting our commodity trading activities, with responsibility for improving trade flow control, transparency, and analytical insight across the transaction lifecycle.
Become part of an engaged team
You will join a lean and highly skilled team of six, working closely across locations. Based in Hellerup, you will collaborate regularly with colleagues in Middelfart and occasionally with IT teams in Aarhus.
You will initiate and implement improvements, playing a pivotal role in optimizing trade flow processes and guaranteeing accurate, timely, and transparent PnL reporting.
In addition, your responsibilities include:
- Deliver analysis, reporting, and visualizations that support business decisions
- Develop and improve analytical and automation tools across the trade flow
- Translate business needs into scalable data solutions and actionable insights
- Support transparency, controls, and process quality across transactions
- Implement process improvements and help enhance our data & analytics capabilities
An analytical profile with solid business understanding
We are looking for an experienced analyst with technical skills, a commercial mindset, and a structured approach. We imagine that you bring knowledge of trade flows, derivatives, commodities or financial markets i.e., from a bank, international trading house, or energy company. You work independently, collaborate well across functions, and create value ensuring high-quality, accurate, and transparent PnL reporting.
We also assume that you:
- Have solid experience (5-10 years) with tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, Excel with understanding of trade flow, middle office functions, and operational controls
- Bring an analytical mindset with the ability to structure, interpret, and explain complex financial and trading data
- Work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills
- Familiarity with trade lifecycle systems, risk systems, or ETRM platforms
