Student Intraday Power Trader

Global Risk Management is searching for a Student Intraday Power Trader to be a part of our Power Trading team in Aarhus.  


A Role to Learn and Perform
As a Student Intraday Power Trader, you will execute and monitor systematic trading strategies in European power markets. The role is based in our Aarhus office and includes shift work covering evenings and weekends. The position is part-time approximately 15 hours per week.
After a thorough onboarding and introduction approximately 2-3 months into the employment the office hours will be flexible and we expect that you can work on an individual basis.
The Student position can potentially transform into a permanent contract after graduation.


Your Key Responsibilities
You will work in a screen-driven environment where discipline, structure, and attention to detail are essential.

  • Execute predefined intraday trading strategies with precision
  • Monitor positions and manage risk in real time
  • Trade European power across markets and borders
  • Conduct and apply market and fundamental analysis to structured trading decisions


Your Profile
We are looking for analytically skilled and disciplined individuals with an interest in energy trading. We imagine that you are close to completing a master’s degree in a quantitative field such as finance, economics, Mat-Oecon, or similar.
While prior market experience is an advantage, your ability to work systematically and follow defined strategies consistently is essential.
Additionally, you:

  • Have a solid quantitative foundation in mathematics and statistics
  • Are comfortable working in a screen-intensive trading environment
  • Approach tasks in a structured and disciplined manner
  • Keep a steady focus and collected demeanor during periods of market volatility
  • Have an interest in European energy markets and trading
