Job Description

Sweden Operations Manager – Stockholm

SDK Cruise is seeking a Sweden Operations Team Lead for our Stockholm office. Take ownership of the Sweden operations, lead a skilled team, and ensure flawless port agency services for international cruise clients

SDK Cruise provides port agency services to visiting international cruise ships.

The business environment for a cruise agent is very much hands-on, and it involves daily contact with clients, staff onboard the ships, local suppliers, local and national authorities, and many other business partners.

Team Description
You will report to the Operations Director and lead a small, dedicated team. Together, you manage cruise operations in all Swedish ports, including ships clearance, voyage coordination, port agency services, commercial and operational client relations and much more. Your team serves as the main contact for shipowners, the onboard staff, ports, authorities, and agents, ensuring smooth operations across time zones. As Team Lead, you will coach your team, manage daily operations and KPIs, handle escalations, and drive continuous improvement in service quality and efficiency. The Stockholm office is central to SDK’s success, maintaining a strong position in a key trade corridor.

Hands-on Leader of Sweden Operations
As Team Lead, you take full ownership of the Sweden operations - from cruise calls to port agency services. This is a hands-on role balancing strategic oversight with daily execution. You will ensure smooth port calls, client satisfaction, and efficient workflows, working closely with clients, authorities, and partners. Responsibilities include duty planning, invoicing, cost control, and maintaining high-quality service throughout the year.

During the peak cruise season (April–September), flexibility and commitment are essential, including participation in the 24/7 duty rotation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure execution and client satisfaction for all Iceland-related port agency operations
  • Manage invoicing, cost booking, budgeting, and KPI reporting
  • Lead, coach, and support your team, optimizing schedules and solving operational challenges

Profile
You are a results-driven leader with experience in shipping, port agency, maritime logistics, or with experience from working onboard, ideally with cross-border team management. You communicate clearly across cultures, stay structured under pressure, and thrive in dynamic maritime environments.

Qualifications

  • Background in shipping, agency or  port operations
  • Experience leading teams and coordinating remote suppliers or partners
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Cruise industry experience is a plus
