Technical Specialist - Bunker One Aalborg

Join Bunker One and help shape safe bunkering procedures and the transition to new fuels - while supporting teams across our global business.

As Technical Specialist, you will work closely with the technical team and provide support across Bunker One and the wider Bunker Holding group.

You will help develop safety procedures for bunker handling, including new fuels such as methanol, ammonia and hydrogen. You will also support ESG projects, for example by tracking fuel savings across Bunker One’s supply chain.

You will report to Technical Manager Steffen Volder Kortegård and the role is based in Aalborg, alongside several Bunker Holding departments. You will join experienced colleagues who focus on continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ship and terminal inspections.
• Represent Bunker One in technical boards and working groups on bunkering and fuel-related topics (e.g., Danish Shipping, ISO, IBIA)
• Draft and update policies and contingency plans
• Follow up on ESG reporting, including CO2 reduction and documentation of impact

A detail-oriented profile with the willingness to learn

You are structured, detail-oriented and solution-oriented, with strong communication skills.

You will join a team that supports each other and values sparring and knowledge sharing to build everyone’s skills.

You demonstrate an ability to work effectively with colleagues from a range of nationalities and functions. You remain calm and productive even when things get busy, and you are skilled at building strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders.

In addition, you have:

• Project management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Danish and English
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Availability and willingness to travel 50+ days per year
