If we asses that your inquiry belongs to one of our entities, we may transfer your personal data to them. We do not transfer your personal data to a country outside of the EU/EAA.

When you apply for a job through our career portal

We process your personal data when you apply for a job through our job portal.

Categories of personal data

We process the following categories of personal data when you send us a job application through our job portal:

• Contact information (First name, last name, e-mail address, phone number, address)

• Citizenship

• Gender

• Personal data which you have disclosed in your job application and CV as well as any attachments.

• Personal data you disclose during the recruitment process.

• Results of personality tests and IQ tests etc.

When applying for specific job positions, we may also process personal data regarding your criminal record. The legal basis for this processing is either our requirement to do so by law or our legitimate interest in ensuring that you are suitable for the position.

TV Surveillance

When you visit USTC Headquarters, we may have TV-surveillance.

Categories of personal data

• TV-surveillance

The purpose of the TV-surveillance is to prevent and document crimes.

Legal basis

The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest in preventing and solving crimes, according to article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

Transfer of personal data

The video surveillance is processed and stored by our processor.

Recordings collected from TV surveillance may be transferred to the police as a part of an investigation regarding crimes.

Retention policy

Personal data that we collect through video surveillance is automatically deleted 30 days after the collection of data. We may store data for a longer period if the data is part of an ongoing investigation.

3. YOUR RIGHTS

As a data subject under GDPR, you have several rights.

1. You have the right to request access to the personal data we process about you.

2. You have the right to have incorrect information rectified.

3. You have the right to have certain personal data deleted.

4. You may have the right to restriction of our processing of your personal data. You may have the right to object to our processing of your personal data based on reasons and circumstances that pertain to your situation.

5. You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated means, without human interference unless the decision (1) is necessary for entering, or performance of a contract between you and the Organization, (2) is authorized by law, or (3) is based on your explicit consent.

6. If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you are entitled to withdraw such consent at any time. Withdrawal of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to your withdrawal.

7. You are entitled to receive personal data which you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format (data portability.

8. You can always lodge a complaint with the data protection authority.

4. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We reserve the right to update this policy. If we do, we correct the date and the version at the bottom of this Policy.
